Grade A Tertiary Hospitals are the highest level in China's hospital classification system, certified by the National Health Commission. These hospitals must meet strict standards for medical technology, equipment, staffing, and research capabilities. China currently has approximately 1,700 Grade A tertiary hospitals, representing about 8% of all hospitals nationwide.
